Speaking to FightHub Arum said:”UFC doesn’t treat fighters the same way that boxing promoters do.In other words,UFC fighters get so much less than Boxers do. They proposed a deal to Conor that on his share of the purse against Floyd, they take 50%.
Can’t wait that fight!
How does the face of boxing not acknowledge other champions? Not only is he still the face of boxing, he is the owner of Mayweather Promotions. How would the head of a boxing promotion company not know of the world class fighters? I have seen more interviews featuring Floyd Mayweather in the last few months than I have in years.
By Brian Garnett: It is embarrassing to watch the best boxer of this era chase down a fight with a guy whom has never fought in a professional boxing match in Floyd Mayweather Jr. chasing a fight against Conor McGregor. It is disgusting to watch a guy to whom boxing has given so much to consistently dismiss current champions as not being “on his level” while promoting a fight with a novice. When asked about fighting a current boxing champion such as Keith Thurman Mayweather is quick to say that he has no interest in those fights or worse yet he will say he doesn’t know much about that fighter. That is utterly disrespectful to the sport of boxing.
A UFC lightweight on a four-fight win streak says he has been asked by Floyd Mayweather’s camp to help him get ready to fight Conor McGregor.
As a megafight between UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather inches closer and closer to being completed, more details are coming to light about how this will all play out. Since it will be a boxing match, obviously McGregor is likely going to be working with some boxers to prepare. Interestingly though, it appears that Mayweather will be bringing in MMA fighters to help him get ready as well.
“That fight with Floyd, it’s going to happen. Floyd’s management reached out to me a little while ago and asked me to be a part of the camp. So I’m excited to do that, I could use a couple bucks in my pocket, that’s for sure.”
“It’s a win-win situation for him. If he loses — which he’s going to lose, he don’t stand a chance in the fight — he knows it going in he’s just there for the cash grab and then he’ll come back and fight (Nate) Diaz, or he’ll bump up and fight Tyron (Woodley), before he jumps down and messes with us real killers at 155. He ain’t stupid.”
UFC lightweight’s show no love for Conor…well, good luck champ!
By Joseph Hirsch – Gennady Golovkin’s twenty-three knockout streak ended after he won a close but unanimous decision over Danny “the Miracle Man” Jacobs. For Golovkin’s faithful fans, this is proof only that Danny Jacobs’ decision to skip a mandatory weigh-in was a sneaky tactic to come in bigger than his opponent, and that Jacobs only went the distance with the “God of War” by gaming the system.
For those who doubted Golovkin from the beginning, complaining about the quality of his opposition, the Jacobs fight served as confirmation for their view that Golovkin can look great against a good foe, but is susceptible to being out-boxed by a slick, elite fighter with a cute style.
On of the most spectacular fights if going to happen’ . Conor McGregor ( UFC lightweight champion) vs Floyd “Money” Mayweather undefeated, legendaty, retired boxer.
Speaking to LA Times McGregor said:
“September is what i’m thinking. That’s what the word is. That’s what we are close to doing. I’ve tried to talk to Floyd. I flew to Las Vegas to have talks with Floyd and then he retired. Floyd just doesn’t want to see me. He’s petrified, wouldn’t you be? No one knows what to expect from me and the shouldn’t because i don’t know what to expect either.”
